Lord
of the Rings
Audiobooks
on cassette and compact disc
The late J.R.R. Tolkien, a professor of Anglo Saxon and English Literature at Oxford University in England, wrote a number of literary works which grew out of his lifelong interest in languages, myths and legends. The most famous of these works are The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, a trilogy comprised of the books The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King.
The Lord of the Rings tells of the great quest undertaken by Frodo and the Fellowship of the Ring: Gandalf the Wizard, the hobbits Merry, Pippin, and Sam, Gimli the Dwarf, Legolas the Elf, Boromir of Gondor, and a tall, mysterious stranger called Strider.
