About the Author: Lucille O’Neal is the mother of four children—Shaquille, Lateefah, Ayesha, and Jamal, and is currently the President and founder of the Mothers of Professional Basketball Players Association. She is a member of the Orlando Ovarian Alliance as well as a new member of the MD Anderson’s Council of Governors. After 30 years of being both a wife and a mother, O’Neal resumed her studies in the Adult Education Program at Bethune-Cookman University where she graduate Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in June 2003. She recently completed her graduate program (Masters Degree in Organizational Management) at the University of Phoenix in March 2005. She is currently the proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren.
