About the Authors: NEWT GINGRICH, former Speaker of the House, is the author of several bestselling books, including Pearl Harbor and Gettysburg. He is a member of the Defense Policy Board and is the longest-serving teacher of the Joint War Fighting course for Major Generals. WILLIAM R. FORSTCHEN, PH.D., is a Faculty Fellow at Montreat College and is the author of more than 40 books.

William R. Forstchen holds a Ph.D. in History from Purdue University, with specializations in military history and the history of technology. He is currently a Faculty Fellow and Professor of History at Montreat College, near Asheville North Carolina. He is the author of more than forty books in diverse subjects ranging from history to science fiction. William is a pilot and flies an original WWII recon "warbird." He resides near Asheville with his daughter Meghan.
