About the Author: Samuel Dashiell Hammett introduced the world to the "hard-boiled" detective story. He is the author of more than 80 short stories and five novels including Red Harvest (1929) and The Thin Man (1934).

About the Performer: William Dufris began his audiobook career in London, where he worked with Kathleen Turner, Stockard Channing, and Helena Bonham-Carter. He co-founded two audio production companies and is currently the voice of Bob in Nickelodeon Jr's popular children's show Bob The Builder.
