A Captain Underhill baseball thriller set in the most classic of all settings - Fenway Park.

It's murder on the mound in this Fenway Park thriller as Captain Underhill goes undercover, posing as Homeplate umpire, to save the life of the new Babe Ruth.

Being the one who discovers the next Babe Ruth is as thrilling to some as finding the next Dalai Lama is to Tibetans. Two who share that goal: Red Sox GM, Stu Stanquette, as well as owner, Midge Nopsy. Both think they've discovered a future legend for the Red Sox in the person of Zachary Develin of the Cape Cod All Stars. Trouble is there is a mysterious death threat hanging over the Kid's head if he plays in the big game on Saturday. To help protect him and ward off a possible attack, Stanquette enlists Captain Underhill to go undercover and pose as Homeplate umpire during the game.

This show is also a Fenway Park time capsule. Many of the drama's sound effects were recorded on site, organist Richard Giglio played the Fenway organ and singer Christine MacDougall sang the National Anthem, plus the insertion into the cast of Red Sox announcers, Ken Coleman and Joe Castiglione, all contribute to give this show an authentic sound and feel for a baseball thriller, while at the same time creating a homage to the National Pastime.
