About the Author: Educated at the Ecole Normale Supèrieure, Lucas Delattre was a journalist for the French newspaper Le Monde, during which time he was a correspondent in Germany from 1989 to 1997. Later, he served as assistant editor in chief at Le Monde des Dêbats. Delattre now works for the Council of Europe and lives in Paris.
