31st January 2002 - Naxos AudioBooks and Oneword Launch New Audiobook Series

Naxos AudioBooks has signed an exclusive deal with Oneword Radio to co-produce an exciting series of plays and dramas.

The series premieres with the dramatization of one of Bernard Shaw’s most popular plays – Pygmalion. Directed by John Tydeman, Professor Higgins is played by Anton Lesser and Eliza by Lucy Whybrow. The cast also includes Geoffrey Palmer in the role of Pickering, David Burke as Doolittle and Hannah Gordon as Mrs. Higgins.

Over the coming months, Naxos AudioBooks and Oneword will be producing a wide range of plays from traditional classics to modern favourites. Forthcoming productions include Port Authority, Hedda Gabler, and Blithe Spirit.
