About the Author: Scott Turow Author of Presumed Innocent, one of the most acclaimed and best-selling works of the 1980s, Scott Turow is a lawyer and former Assistant US District Attorney. After graduating from Amherst and receiving an MA at Stanford--where he received a fellowship in creative writing--Turow entered Harvard Law School. The journal he kept during his first year there became the basis for his first book, One L: An Inside Account of Life in the First Year at Harvard Law, published to critical acclaim in 1977. Mr. Turow lives in suburban Chicago.

About the Performer: Len Cariou won a Tony Award for his title role in Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Among his other Broadway credits are: A Little Night Music, for which he received a Tony nomination and repeated his role in the film version; Applause, for which he received another Tony nomination and the Theatre World Award; and Henry V. His off-Broadway credits include Mountain, The Master Class, and Measure for Measure. On film, he has been seen in The Four Seasons, The Lady in White, and One Man. Mr. Cariou has also directed plays on and off-Broadway.
