Each year the Audio Publisher's Association (APA) honors the
best of the best audiobooks with their Audie Awards
for excellence in audiobook publishing. The winners were announced
May 3, 2002 at the APA's BookExpo America 2002 in New York
city.
The
Seventh Annual Audie Awards audio book winners were selected by a panel
of over 100 judges representing all areas of the audiobook world. Judges
were responsible for reviewing 522 audiobooks submitted for consideration,
all of which had to have been released between November 1, 2000 and
October 31, 2001.
Following
are the audiobook winners for the year 2002. Many of these winners are
offered in CASSETTE and COMPACT DISC formats.
