About the Author: Barbara Michaels is a pseudonym used by writer Barbara Mertz, who also writes as Elizabeth Peters. Michaels holds a doctoral degree in Egyptology from the University of Chicago. She has written 29 novels, many of which became bestsellers. In 1998 she was the recipient of the Grand Master Award from the Mystery Writers of America. She is also a past president of the American Crime Writers League.

About the Performer: Jacqueline King trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has since toured extensively in other countries, appearing in productions of How the Other Half Loves in Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates, and Swann's Song in Nairobi.
