These never-before-released recordings feature stories and characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle with scripts by Edith Meiser, the acclaimed writer-director who first brought The World’s Greatest Detective to radio and scripted more than 300 Sherlock Holmes radio episodes. John Stanley stars as the Great Detective, with Alfred Shirley as Dr. Watson and Charles D. Penman as the evil Professor Moriarty. All 20 classic broadcasts have been digitally restored and remastered from the original master recordings, and a special 32-page historical booklet is included featuring rare photographs and historical commentary by radio historians Anthony Tollin and William Nadel of the Baker Street Irregulars.
