About the Author/Editor: Bruce Coville is the author of more than seventy books for young readers. He was born in Syracuse, New York, and grew up in a rural area north of the city, around the corner from his grandparents' dairy farm. In the years before he began to make his own living as a writer, Brue worked as a gravedigger, a toymaker, an elementary school teacher and a magazine editor.
